I specialize in leather, and you can make all kinds of things out of leather — from accessories like belt bags, purses, pouches, jewelry boxes, and cases to turn-shoes and hardened, functional armor. Depending on how it’s tanned leather can be carved, scratched, embossed, dyed, tooled, embroidered, pyrographed, and more.

I can also do “nalbinding,” which is a bit like knitting or crochet. This style of fabric creation has been popularized by the Vikings and is still practiced in Scandinavia today, but nalbound clothing has been found in all kinds of cultures from all across the globe, as far back as 6,500 BCE. It makes lovely, warm socks, mittens, hats, and more!

I can also do simple carpentry and woodcarving. Inquire within, but “simple” is bolded for a reason. :)

It’s time for everyone’s favorite answer: That depends! I’ll include a general timeline in your estimate based on how long projects like yours usually take. The smaller, simpler, and less decorated the object is, the faster I’ll usually be able to create it.

Absolutely! That’s a huge part of what I do. I specialize in “leather carving,” or using knives, styluses and other tools to place a textured 2D image on the outside of a piece of vegetable tanned leather. If you can think it — or if you want me to think it — I can do it.

Generally speaking, yes it does. But it probably won’t cost as much as you might think. Unlike many shops, my estimates include a comprehensive breakdown of services, materials and costs, so you’ll always know exactly how much something costs and why.
